Update your google reader's and blog lists....
this is my last post on Xanga....

After 5 years I am sad to say that I am leaving xanga and switching over to blogspot.  So this will be my last official post and from now on my blog will be at...

bobandkrista.blogspot.com

Oh I have not posted in so long!!!  I have been super busy with projects around the house, getting ready for Brynlee and, of course, loving my sewing machine!  Hope you enjoy my catch up post...

Moab

We drove 7 1/2 hours to Moab Utah for Easter weekend and had a great time with family!  We drove Thursday and got to play all day Friday, Saturday, Sunday and drove back on Monday morning.  It was a quick trip but super fun to see Bob's Dad, brother Bill and his family Lorinda, Kai & Koa, brother Ben and his family Melissa & Braden, and Karen drove up for the last day.

Friday morning Bob, Jackson, and went to Arches and hiked Delicate Arch. It was a great 3 mile round trip hike.  It was so beautiful to see the red rock with the snowy mountains behind it!

Granola bar in hand and juice in the other...he was good to go!

Jackson slept the whole way down
Fighting to stay awake...

...he finally gave up

There was a big Jeep Safari that occurs every year for 2 weeks in Moab.  There were Jeeps everywhere!!!  It was super fun to walk the streets and see decked out Jeeps!  Bob's dad has a Jeep and has really enjoyed off roading.  He has been to Moab the last few years and really enjoys the trails so we thought we would join him.  Friday and Sunday they went on long 8+ hour trips but on Saturday they only did like a 5 hour and it was by far the safest of the weekend so we all tagged along and had a blast!!!

The group of Jeepers that Dave travels with

Melissa, Braden, Jackson, and I rode with Dave.  The Jeep rocked the boys to sleep the first couple hours

This picture does not do this place justice but here is "Wipe Out Hill"
Most of us walked up the hill and let the drivers go

Only 1 Jeep in our group didn't make it up the hill on it's own.  It broke some piece trying to get up a rock and they had to wench it up.  Then it only had 2 wheel drive the rest of the way back so we had to pull it in a couple other spots too.

Easter

The kids loved their Easter baskets (OK maybe the mom's loved their baskets and the boys loved what was in the baskets).

Jackson loved the chocolate!!!

We went to church and then all enjoyed a short hike through the Windows section of Arches

Seriously not a fan of this picture.  Could my belly look any bigger!?!?  I feel like all of a sudden I just popped out!!!  I guess I have less than 7 weeks left so I am supposed to be big, but seriously, yuck.

We let Jack get out a walk the last little bit before we strapped him back in the car seat

Love this picture!!

Jackson playing with his camera and saying "cheese," although he is trying to take a picture of me.

Happy Birthday Bob!!
April 2nd

Bob's Grandma Griffiths came to visit us this year for Bob's birthday and for the Easter Pageant at the temple.  We had so much fun with her here!!! Jackson loved playing with her and she just could not get over the weather.  We spent most of the week outside playing!

Bob had to work on his birthday, but met him for lunch...

Jackson was asleep when we got there

Then poor Bob had to go back to work but Grandma, Jackson, and I went to the train park

We had a small BBQ for dinner

Hope you had a great Birthday Bob!!!  I love you!  Thanks for being such a great husband and "dada"!!!

Ostrich Festival

Oh probably a month ago there was a Ostrich Festival in Chandler that we decided to hit up.  We had a great time with Ang, Austin, and Brody, and Dave, Liz, and Dax.

Dax and Jackson...best friends

Our family

Austin won a free pony ride for helping out during the Ostrich Races.  Pretty cute!

Jackson enjoying some ice cream

About a month ago Jackson had a couple of days that he was super tired (which is not like him!!) and he kept falling asleep before I put him down for a nap...

Jackson still loves to play at the mall.  And now he loves it even more since he has mastered climbing the baseball glove and ball

Sexy...I know.  I can't even remember what happened but we were going to put pajamas on Jack one night and he started running around with just his socks and shoes on. In the second picture he is showing us his muscles.  :)

We had a super fun visit from the Hirschi's this month!  My cousin Mark came to town for a racquetball tournament at ASU and it was super fun to go and watch!   We got to spend some time together eating out and hanging out watching conference.  It was great to see you Hirschis!!!

Bob put Kim's jacket on Jackson

The Flakes also came to town a couple weeks ago and we spent some time at the zoo and at the park.

Hasta luego Xanga!!!

Sewing Project #2

Addicted...I know.  But I made Jackson this cute little Easter basket on Friday and instead of updating and posting all my pictures from the last month or so, I thought I would just show off my basket.

Jackson has been loving monkeys lately so I thought I would make him a monkey Easter basket.

What a fun and easy project!!  Yeah for great blogs!  Here is how to make it if you're interested.  Thanks to everyone who shared more fun blogs and ideas of what to make!

Brynlee's Blanket

So my cute husband gets gift certificates from work as awards pretty often and he is so cute and always lets me pick where I want the gift card too and lets me buy whatever I want.  Seriously, he's cute!  Anyways, I have been wanting a sewing machine and when he emailed me last week with some gift card money I did some research and picked out a sewing machine from Sears.

I was so excited yesterday when I checked the mail and the gift card was there, Jackson and I ran to Sears and started making Brynlee a "taggie blanket."  Yesterday I cut my fabrics and had everything pinned so as soon as Jackson went down for his nap today I busted out the sewing machine and finished my first project!!

Jackson testing it out

Anyone have any other fun sewing projects???  Pass them along!!!

Our backyard...

Bob and I have quickly discovered we are not so good at grass upkeep.  Our small patch of grass in the backyard was definitely struggling.  The sprinkler for the grass needed to be replaced or repaired, we did not have a lawn mower and were mowing it with a weed wacker, and the fact that we have not planted winter grass since we lived here put our grass in desperate need of help.

Before...

After...

We decided to go the very low maintenaince way of turf.  Pretty funny to have turf grass, but it looks so much better and is actually really soft and nice to play on.

Railroad Park

Jackson and I met some friends at the railroad park recently and had a blast!!!  They had a great play area, small train ride, and carousel.  Definitely recommend it!  It is only about 1 mile from Bob's client right now so we also got to meet Bob for lunch.

Sedona

Last week we took a mid week trip to Sedona with my mom, cute aunt Beth from LA, Ang and boys, and Kearsleys (Ang's inlaws).  Ang used her time share so we had the super cute Condo that they always get when they go there.  We didn't really get out much, but had a fun time playing games and hanging out.

We knew that the weather was not going to be great while we were there and ended up driving through snow the last few miles and enjoyed a few inches while we were there.

Nothing like a nice cup of hot chocolate

It didn't take Jackson long to discover no child locks!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

To avoid the craziness, Bob and I went to Texas Roadhouse on Thursday with our friends Dave and Liz for our Valentine's Dinner.  We were going to stay home on Valentines Day and then got an invite from Mike and Heather who were going to Macaroni Grill.  Kim and my mom volunteered to keep Jackson so we decided to take advantage and enjoyed another great meal!  What a fun Valentine's!!!

I think Kim and Jackson had a great Valentine's together!

Every year I make Bob a giant heart cookie for Valentine's Day.  Jackson enjoyed helping me this year.

Love this picture of Brody and Jackson playing in the sink.  It looks like Jackson is giving Brody a pedicure!

Although you can't really tell in this picture, I bought Bob and Jackson cute matching ties so they wore them on Sunday.  I love my boys!!!

Mom flies home tomorrow.  It has been so fun having her around everyday the last couple months!!!

Yesterday she kept telling Kim and I that we are really going to miss her when she leaves.
It's true mom, we will miss you!!!

Utah...

January has been a busy month for us.  It started out with a trip to Utah early in the month so that we could visit with family and friends and Bob could go snowboarding.  We spent most of our time at Bob's parents house, but made a day trip to Provo to visit my old school and some friends.  We also got to see Ben and Melissa's beautiful new home and enjoying spending time with them.  It was also fun to see Bob's sister Tarra and her family and enjoyed being there for her daughter Paige's birthday.  Tonee and Kiki drove down from Logan and we had a great time shopping and going to lunch. Bob went snowboarding with Ben and Jay and then we enjoyed a fun evening with Jay and my cute Prima Heather (we will miss you guys next time we are in Utah!!).  We sure love our trips to Utah!!!

When we got home from Utah I spent the week doing laundry and repacking for Boston.  Bob started his busy season so Jackson and I took a trip to Boston to visit my sister Tiffany and her cute family.  She had a baby, Aila, in October that I have been wanting to meet.  We had so much fun and enjoyed our short 2 week winter (1 in Utah, 1 in Boston).  We were in Boston for Tiffany's birthday and it was really fun to help her kids make it special for their mom. We made her breakfast in bed and brownies and ice cream in place of a cake that evening.  On her birthday we went to the mall and I spent a few hours with her kids and Jackson in the play area so that she could have break and shop.  Another day we hit up the Children's Museum.  We had a great time relaxing and ate many super yummy meals out.  So nice to have so many DELICIOUS restaurants within walking distance!!!  My favorite two were this super good sandwich place and a breakfast place that had chocolate french toast (my two favorite things) and banana french toast.  Oh doesn't that sound good right now!!!

Utah Pics...

Cute Bob and Jackson on the airplane
Flights have been so empty this month that on almost every flight Jackson got his own seat...so nice!!!  The downside...no bumps.

Jackson enjoyed his first J-Dawgs in Provo.  Ahhh we were all in heaven!  While we were eating my family in Mesa called trying to make me jealous because they were all eating at Barros Pizza (my sisters and I meet there on Thursdays for lunch).  I told them what we were eating and I think they ended up being the jealous ones :)

We sure missed you Les and Josh!

Grandpa with Jackson and Braden

Jackson loved visiting Dave and Karen's car dealership on Ogden and enjoyed playing on all the scooters and 4 wheelers!

Hanging out with Paige and Hunter

Cute Tarra, Paige, Braden, and Jackson

Happy Birthday Paige

Paige...AKA  Hannah Montana

Jackson's latest trick is that he loves showing his big belly!  Bob will tell him "Go put your belly on the glass" and he will go over to the glass door and put his belly on the glass.  Boys.

What is all of this white stuff???

Jackson LOVED Rokko and Arny!!

Don't I look good in pink?

Boston

I was pretty nervous at the last minute to fly with this BUSY 14 month old across the country alone.  He did really well though both ways!  It made a huge difference having extra seats so I didn't have to keep him on my lap the whole time!

Oh how I loved baby Aila!  She is such an amazing baby and is so adorable!!!  She sure got me excited for June :)  Hopefully I can get one as cute and good as she is!

Jackson did a lot better with her than I had anticipated.  We still had to keep a good watch on him because you never know but generally he just gave her kisses and tried to steal her binky.  If she was ever in his reach though he had to go over and wave and give her attention.

I took this video sideways...I know I hate that...but it was too cute not to post!!!

Jackson also really enjoyed his older cousins!
Jackson doesn't need very much sleep at night (lucky me) and was always the last kid to bed and the first one up.  He would just keep pointing to the kids room and waiting for them to get up and come play with him.

Riding the "T" train
When we were getting in the car to go to the airport we realized we only rode in the car 1 time besides going and coming from the airport.  We always either rode the T or walked.

All bundled up and going sledding

Love this picture!!!

Ahhh what a fun trip!!!  Thanks for letting me come play with you Tiffany!!!  You are such a great mom and I just love your family!!!  It is so fun to think about your schedule and what you are doing.  :)
I Love you!

Here is what Jackson was doing last night when I was cooking dinner.

Here is a video of Jackson performing a few of his "tricks."
